Hard Drive: 256 SSD

Pros

Acer has done a good job of packing a lot into the small frame of the Aspire S7-393-7616 and its 13.3 inch screen. The performance is quite good and with a total weight of just 2.9 pounds it is a very easy device to take with you on long trips or around the city. Being light isn’t the only thing to consider when looking for the perfect mobile device, It needs to be able to last for a long time on a single charge as well and this Acer has you covered with a full 9.5 hours of battery life.

As we mentioned above the performance on this device is nothing to sneeze at, The powerful Intel Core I7 processor along with 8 GB of memory means it can easily tackle the same demand you would expect from larger full sized models. To top it off the decision to go with a much faster SSD hard drive gives it and added benefit in the performance department.

The touch screen capabilities is a nice touch especially for a device that will be used on the go and is great for giving presentations or just interacting with the latest multimedia.

Cons

We love the speed that an SSD drive provides and it is a great fit in the Acer Aspire S7-393-7616 device but unfortunately it doesn’t offer the same storage capacity you will find in a regular old SATA drive. With just 256 GB of storage vs as much as 1 TB in some laptops running SATA devices some of the biggest file savers may find this restrictive but is a price that needs to be paid to get the speed benefits of an SSD.

Verdict

Overall the Acer Aspire S7-393-7616 appears to be a great little compact option for those that want mobility but without giving up the performance benefits that larger laptops can provide.
